Stroll along the seaside promenade and photograph views across Toyama Bay

About this spot

A waterfront park adjacent to Himi Fishing Harbor, featuring a symbolic observation tower, expansive lawn, and a pleasant seafront promenade. On clear days with crisp air, the iconic Himi vista unfolds with the Tateyama mountain range floating across Toyama Bay. A succession of photogenic scenery including the cable-stayed Himino-e Bridge (比美乃江大橋) and Karato Island (唐島) floating offshore awaits, making it perfect for a post-meal stroll. Its convenient location just a short walk from Himi Banya-gai is also an attraction.

Tips

The promenade is flat and easy to walk with a stroller. The seaside can be windy, so bringing a light layer is recommended. The Tateyama mountain range appears distinctly on clear, sunny days with crisp air.

Best time to visit

Allow approximately 1 hour 15 minutes. On sunny days with crisp air during midday hours, the mountain range beyond the sea is beautifully visible.
