A historic shrine said to be Kanazawa's oldest, known for its matchmaking benefits and a popular dating spot. Located right next to the 21st Century Museum, you can easily stop by while on your art walk. The colorful polka-dot charms and fortune-telling papers are popular and perfect as a keepsake of your trip as a couple. The shrine grounds feature a path lined with vermillion torii gates, a beloved photo spot for capturing Kanazawa's charm.
Tips
Shrine visits are free and the grounds are compact. Having small change for charms and fortune papers is helpful. The torii path is a popular photo spot, so be considerate of others during busy times. It's also close to the Mayumi-zaka entrance of Kenroku Garden (兼六園), and extending your visit there is recommended if you have time.
