About this spot

Long revered as the regional shrine of Noto, this shrine is nationally known for matchmaking blessings. Situated overlooking the Japan Sea, with a sacred primeval forest called the "Forbidden Forest" behind the main hall, this historic shrine exudes dignity. Walking through the approach with its forests creates a solemn moment befitting the conclusion of your drive. It's perfect for praying for good family connections and healthy growth of children.

Tips

There's free parking with convenient vehicle access. The approach is a gravel path, so a baby carrier is easier to use than a stroller. The Forbidden Forest is a sacred area off-limits to the public—please view it quietly from a distance.
