Browse a Market of Noto Seafood and Enjoy an Early Seafood Lunch
About this spot
A marketplace-style roadside station where Noto's ocean bounty gathers, located just beside Nanao Port. The first floor features shops selling fresh fish and dried seafood caught in the waters near Noto, along with Noto's specialty products, and simply walking through fills you with the lively atmosphere of a port town. There's a grilled-fish corner where you can have your purchased seafood cooked and enjoyed on the spot, as well as dining areas specializing in fresh seafood—perfect for an early lunch. Shopping and dining while overlooking Nanao Bay heightens the Noto spirit from the very start of your trip.
Tips
Some periods have Tuesdays as a closed day, so it's advisable to confirm operating hours in advance. Free parking is available. The grilled-fish corner and dining areas get crowded at midday, so an early lunch around 11 AM is your best bet. A cooler bag comes in handy for carrying fresh seafood or dried fish souvenirs.
Best time to visit
Allow approximately 2 hours 15 minutes. The morning offers the best selection, and arriving before noon allows you to enjoy the dining areas without rushing.
