An aerial walk by gondola. A sweeping panorama of the Tetori River's fan-shaped alluvial plain and the Sea of Japan from the summit
About this spot
Ride the gondola in one smooth journey up to this highland at approximately 650 meters elevation, rising behind the town of Tsuruga, for an aerial stroll. From the summit, a grand panorama unfolds: the farm patterns of the fan-shaped alluvial plain created by the Tetori River, the Kanazawa Plain, and the Sea of Japan beyond. Known as a paragliding mecca, watching the graceful figures floating in the sky is exhilarating in itself. Spread out a bento box on the grass or grab a light meal and relax—it's the perfect reward moment in the middle of your journey.
Tips
The gondola may close for inspections or due to strong winds, so it's best to check operating conditions in advance before heading out. The summit is cooler than the lowlands, so a light jacket is a good idea. Plan to eat lunch lightly, either at the base or summit, to keep moving comfortably.
Best time to visit
Approximately 2-3 hours required. Late morning to early afternoon when the air is clearest offers the best views.
