Ascend to Panorama Station via ropeway with about 5 minutes of aerial scenery, overlooking Mount Fuji and the Southern Alps

About this spot

This ropeway carries you from Senno Waterfall's upper station to Panorama Station via an about 5-minute aerial ride, whisking you up to approximately 1,000 meters elevation. From the mountaintop Panorama Station, sweeping vistas unfold showcasing Mount Fuji, the Southern Alps, and the Kofu Basin. For the hardy, Misharo Peak is about a 20-minute hike from the summit station. Standing on the granite rock summit brings a 360-degree grand panorama and a sense of exhilaration fitting as the finale to the gorge hike.

Tips

Round-trip tickets cost around 1,300 yen for adults, with service roughly every 20 minutes. The trail to Misharo Peak has tree roots and rocky sections, so wear proper sneakers or hiking shoes, and be cautious of heights at the rock summit. Lunch is efficiently handled at the houtou restaurants clustered near the ropeway boarding area. Even on sunny days, the mountain is cooler below, so a light jacket is reassuring.

Best time to visit

Approximately 1 hour 30 minutes. Clear daytime conditions offer excellent views of Mount Fuji and the Southern Alps.
