A hands-on science museum located near the summit of Atago Mountain, overlooking the Kofu Basin. The dome-shaped Space Theater features a beautiful planetarium show, and you can also enjoy hands-on science workshops and science shows on certain days. Tips
Admission to the permanent exhibits is around ¥520 for adults, and the planetarium requires a separate admission fee with combination tickets available; confirm viewing times at the ticket counter. Free parking is available, and visiting by car is convenient as you'll need to drive up a mountain road. The museum is accessible by elevator and easy to navigate with a stroller. Weekend planetarium shows tend to fill up quickly, so it's recommended to reserve your viewing time as soon as you arrive.
