About this spot
A beautiful waterfall with a drop of roughly 30 meters and width of about 4 meters, selected as one of Japan's 100 famous waterfalls. It is well-known as the setting of an ancient filial son legend in which waterfall water turned to sake, bringing joy to the son's aging parent. As you reach the waterfall after ascending the walking path, you'll be enveloped in cool air and the sound of falling water, washing away fatigue with refreshing exhilaration. Surrounded by greenery, the waterfall is a picturesque photo spot perfect for family portraits.
Tips
From the park entrance to the waterfall is a roughly 20-30 minute walk along uphill paths with stone paving and stairs, making it challenging for strollers. The area near the waterfall remains cool even in summer, so a light layer is recommended for small children. There is also a paid parking lot accessible near the upper part of the waterfall, but the walking path is highly recommended for its pleasant atmosphere.
Best time to visit
Allow approximately 1 hour (including round-trip walk). Morning light enhances the beauty of the water spray.
