The museum displays beautifully curved Japanese swords and smithing tools, allowing visitors to trace step-by-step the transformation of raw tamahagane steel into a finished sword. The shimmer of the blade's wave pattern (hamon) viewed through glass is breathtakingly beautiful, and photography enthusiasts will find themselves absorbed by its artistic form. Traditional Japanese sword-smithing demonstrations and performances by master craftspeople are occasionally held, and if timing permits, you can witness the impressive techniques up close. Admission is reasonably priced at approximately 300 yen for adults. The museum focuses on exhibits, so you can comfortably view it in about an hour.
