A free-admission observation facility atop Nihondaira's summit. Wrapped in lattice screens of locally sourced timber, the building features a viewing gallery approximately 200 meters in circumference offering 360-degree sweeping vistas of Mt. Fuji, Suruga Bay, Shimizu Port, and the Southern Alps. The first-floor exhibition corner showcases the geological formation and history of Nihondaira, and visiting here alongside your Kunozan Toshogu Shrine tour deepens your understanding considerably. Spending unhurried time by the large windows on the viewing floor is truly one of the highlights of your journey.
Tips
The in-house tearoom offers tea and sweets with views of Mt. Fuji. For lunch, nearby vendors and restaurants around the summit are convenient. Mt. Fuji is clearest from late morning through early afternoon when the air is crisp, and tends to become hazy in the afternoon, so enjoy the views earlier rather than later.

Approximately 1 hour 30 minutes. Late morning to early afternoon when the air is clearest offers the sharpest views of Mt. Fuji.
