Feed Birds Beneath the Flower Chandelier and Watch the Bird Show
About this spot
A flower and bird theme park within walking distance of Kakegawa Station. The greenhouse ceiling is adorned with fully blooming impatiens and begonias suspended overhead like a flower chandelier, beneath which distinctive birds such as penguins, owls, and the large-beaked shoebill roam freely. Hands-on feeding experiences and thrilling bird shows viewed up close captivate children and adults alike. With almost entirely indoor facilities and minimal steps, this is a wonderful advantage for three-generation outings, offering comfort regardless of rain or hot weather.
Tips
The park is barrier-free and easy to navigate with strollers and wheelchairs. Feeding experiences require a separate fee (several hundred yen), so small change is convenient. Bird shows have set times, so check the schedule upon entry and reserve seats early. Having an early lunch at the in-park restaurant is also a good option. About 10 minutes walk from the south exit of the station, with free parking available.
Best time to visit
Approximately 2.5 hours needed. Shortly after opening, birds are most active and hungry.
