A walking route symbolizing the pottery town of Tokoname, featuring brick chimneys, black board fence factories, and narrow alleys lined with earthenware pipe walls stacked high. Kiln operators' galleries, pottery shops, and cafés in historic buildings dot the path, with picturesque scenes appearing at every turn. Pottery enthusiasts will lose track of time simply gazing at single-stem vases and teacups displayed in shop eaves. As you climb and descend the gentle slopes, savor the town's streetscape where the history of Tokoname pottery comes alive.

Tips

Pick up a walking map at the Ceramic Hall near the trail entrance to avoid getting lost. Many slopes and stone-paved streets, so comfortable sneakers are essential. Alleys are narrow, so be considerate of others when taking photos.

Best time to visit

Approximately 1.5 hours. Early morning has fewer crowds, allowing leisurely photography.
