A vast comprehensive park representing the Tokai region, combining a zoo, botanical garden, natural history museum, and amusement park all in one. The Africa area showcases giraffes and zebras roaming freely across grasslands, while you can see polar bears swimming in water—displays with close contact to animals that children adore. The Natural History Museum welcomes you with large dinosaur skeleton specimens, and the botanical garden's grand greenhouse showcases rare tropical plants. The park is so expansive you could spend all day here, so we recommend focusing on the zoo section during the morning to fully enjoy it.

Tips

Admission is affordable at 600 yen for adults and 100 yen for elementary and junior high students, with reasonably priced day-use parking. The park is very large, so a stroller is helpful (rentals available). Rides at the amusement park zone require separate ride tickets. There are many grassy areas and benches, and plenty of families bring picnics.

Best time to visit

Plan for approximately 4.5 hours. Animals are most active right after opening in the morning.
