Panoramic views of Tsutenkaku and Osaka from the 60th-floor Harukas 300 observation deck
About this spot
A 300-meter-tall, 60-story ultra-high-rise complex building located directly above Kintetsu Osaka Abenobashi Station. When it opened in 2014, it boasted Japan's tallest height and remains West Japan's tallest building as an Osaka landmark. The observation deck "Harukas 300" on the 58th-60th floors features a 360-degree panorama from the glass-lined "Heaven's Corridor" on the 60th floor, where you can see not only Tsutenkaku and Tennoji Zoo, but on clear days, even Kyoto, Mount Rokko, and Awaji Island in the distance. The 58th-floor Sky Garden features a vaulted wood deck where you can rest while feeling the breeze—a special charm. Spotting Shinsekai and Tenshibayou've walked through from above and tracing them in order provides a perfect summary of the day's adventure.
Tips
Direct connection to Tennoji/Osaka Abenobashi stations, and just a short walk from Tenshibaa. Observation deck tickets are purchased at the ticket counter on the 16th floor (single-day ticket: ¥1,800 for adults; advance Web booking available). Early evening tends to be crowded, so ascending about an hour before sunset allows leisurely enjoyment of the sunset scenery. The observation floors are flat and navigable with strollers.
Best time to visit
Approximately 1 hour. Ascending before sunset allows enjoyment of the scenery's transition from day to dusk.
