A lawn plaza created when the entrance area of Tennoji Park was renovated in 2015. The approximately 7,000-square-meter expanse of lawn is ringed by cafes, restaurants, and shops, open and free to anyone. With Abeno Harukas towering beyond the lawn, the setting offers an openness unimaginable for the city center—even while lying on the grass looking up. The site includes the paid children's play facility "Bornelund Play Ville Tennoji Park" where children can move freely both indoors and outdoors, plus futsal courts, perfect for cooling down after walking around the zoo and Shinsekai. Elementary school students can play ball games and tag on the lawn, while adults rest at cafes, allowing each family member to take their preferred break.

Tips

Excellent access, just a short walk from JR/Osaka Metro Tennoji Station and Kintetsu Osaka Abenobashi Station. The lawn area is free and picnic blankets are welcome. The grounds are flat and easy to push strollers, with toilets and cafes available, so families won't struggle with resting needs. Some areas may have access restrictions on certain days due to lawn maintenance.
