Stroll Through Large Flower Beds Colored by Seasonal Flowers; Children Will Be Delighted by Large Playgrounds
About this spot
A national park spanning a hillside overlooking Awaji Island's sea, where large flower beds are replanted seasonally to showcase seasonal beauty. Spring tulips and nemophila, autumn cosmos—whenever you visit, the hillside is carpeted with flowers. Popular with families with children is the large compound playground "Yume-kko Land," featuring long slides and net-climbing structures where children often get so absorbed in play they forget all about the flowers. The park is very large, so combining rides on the paid tram car and swan boats allows even small children to explore it comfortably. Another family-friendly perk is that admission is free for middle school students and younger. A classic Awaji Island sightseeing spot where you can enjoy flowers and play all in one place.
Tips
About 5 minutes by car from Awaji IC; parking is paid (approximately ¥500 for standard vehicles). There are multiple entrances; if combining a visit with Awaji Dream Butai, the Dream Butai Central Entrance is more convenient. Stroller rentals and in-park tram cars are available, making it safe even in this large facility. Check the official website's bloom information in advance to confirm flower seasons like tulips.
Best time to visit
About 2 hours. The park is least crowded right after opening in the morning, and both flowers and light are at their best.
