About this spot
A verdant park on the slopes of Mt. Ikoma, popular with families for its colorful large-scale play equipment in the children's area. Long slides and net structures keep both toddlers and elementary school children thoroughly entertained. Next to it is a full-fledged obstacle course field athletics course with logs to balance on (fee required), perfect for children wanting to show off their athletic skills. The grassy lawn is ideal for spreading out a mat for snack breaks, and the park features a Friendship Center with restaurants and other facilities. It's a popular local "one more play" spot where you can energetically finish up after the excitement of the amusement park.
Tips
About 10 minutes by car (taxi) from Ikoma Station. Bus service is infrequent, so check the schedule in advance if using it. The large play equipment children's area is free, while the obstacle course requires registration at the desk and costs a fee. Younger children can use the play equipment area while older elementary students can tackle the obstacle course. The park is easy to navigate with a stroller, and restrooms are available at the Friendship Center.
