The stone-paved trail of the UNESCO World Heritage Kumano Sankeimichi Koheji route passes through the settlement, and walking along the path that brushes past the eaves of houses feels like stepping into the journey of ancient pilgrims. Tips
Approximately 10 minutes by car from Tsutsukawa Hot Spring, but the road up to the settlement is narrow, so be careful when passing vehicles. There are parking spaces for a few vehicles near the settlement entrance. Since it's a living residential area, respect local etiquette by staying off private property and walking quietly. The stone pavement can be slippery after rain, so wear comfortable shoes.

Approximately 1.5 hours required. The soft afternoon light beautifully illuminates the layered mountain ridges.
