At the tuna counter, you may witness the spectacular sight of workers butchering large fish—children will be captivated. About 5 minutes by car from JR Shirahama Station; there is a free large parking lot. The market is relatively uncrowded right after opening in the morning, but becomes busy with tour groups around midday. The interior is flat and easy to navigate with a stroller.
