Lunch break at a roadside station directly facing Ichimai Rock and shop for local products

About this spot

A roadside station occupying the best possible front-row seat, facing Koza River's symbol, Ichimai Rock. From the shop's interior and terrace seating, the 100m-high rock wall fills your entire view, making lunch with this spectacular scenery one of the highlights of your drive. Menus feature local game and specialties made with yuzu (a local citrus), offering mountain village flavors you won't find elsewhere. The gift shop displays yuzu-based ponzu sauce, juice, and local processed goods—perfect for souvenir hunting. You can descend directly to the riverbed from in front of the shop, so take time for a leisurely stroll by the river after eating, gazing up at Ichimai Rock. It's a place to enjoy unhurried time.

Tips

Free parking available. As a mountain roadside station with limited seating, arriving early for lunch before noon moves more smoothly. Bring cash as backup since card payment isn't always available. Since there are almost no shops ahead toward Taki no Hai, restock drinks here.
