A retro Western-style museum standing on a street called "Vories Street" in Imazu, a port town that prospered on Lake Biwa. The building is a former branch of the 133 Bank dating from the Taishō era, designed by architect William Merrell Vories, who was active from Ōmi-Hachiman. The street features multiple Vories buildings including the former Imazu Post Office and a chapel, preserving the character of a modern townscape from the Taishō and Shōwa eras. Inside the museum you can view materials touching on Vories' legacy and the history of Imazu; admission is free, which is a pleasant convenience. Following a day of scenic sightseeing and play, enjoy a nostalgic town walk—a spot satisfying for adults as well.

About 5 minutes on foot from JR Ōmi-Imazu Station; nearby parking lots are available. Admission is free and the compact museum can be viewed in about 30 minutes.
