Historic buildings such as the main hall and large hall remain, and the two gardens of Ganzan-ken and Ran-tei are designated as National Scenic Spots. The garden, with Mount Ibuki as borrowed scenery, has a beauty that soothes the heart as you gaze upon it quietly. The temple grounds attract few visitors in the morning, making it appealing to worship unhurried in the dignified atmosphere. The Nagahama-Gohō Front Approach shopping street extending from the gate leads toward Kurogane Square, making it a perfect starting point for a retro street walk. Tips

About 10 minutes on foot from JR Nagahama Station. From Kurogane Square, simply pass through the Nagahama-Gohō Front Approach shopping street. Temple grounds are open to the public for free strolling; entry to the main hall and gardens requires a small entrance fee at the reception.
