The corridors are spacious and easy to navigate, and between shopping, you can step out onto the lakeside deck to admire the Lake Biwa Bridge stretching across to the opposite shore. As evening approaches, the lake surface glimmers, and the lake's appearance changes throughout the day—a unique experience of a lakeshore mall. A reliable stop-off point on a drive date, accommodating breaks, lunch, and souvenir shopping all in one.
Tips
Immediately after crossing Lake Biwa Bridge, with ample free parking for easy vehicle access. Local bus service also runs from the JR Moriyama Station area. On weekends, restaurants are busy during lunch hours, so arriving slightly after the peak (around 1 PM) offers better chances of securing a lakeside table. Don't forget to take a commemorative photo on the lakeside deck with the Lake Biwa Bridge in the background.
Best time to visit
Allow approximately 1.5 hours. Just after lunch peak, around 1 PM, has more available seating, and lakeside tables are easier to secure.
