Enjoy Racing Carts and the Observation Wheel Until Sunset. Purchase Circuit Merchandise

About this spot

Opened in 1962 and home to the F1 Japan Grand Prix and the Suzuka 8-Hour Endurance Race, this is the sacred ground of Japanese motorsports. The adjoining amusement park area features rides you can "operate yourself," with full-scale racing carts at the center, alongside motorcycle and car-type attractions to thrill any vehicle enthusiast. The giant observation wheel offers panoramic views of the international racing course; on race days, you can enjoy a sky walk while listening to the roar of engines. The park includes restaurants and a shop stocked with racing merchandise, where you can play, dine, and shop—a fitting grand finale to your day that extends until sunset.

Tips

About 20 minutes by bus from Kintetsu Shirako Station; by car, about 15 minutes from Suzuka IC on the Tōmei-Hanwa Expressway (parking is paid). For maximum ride enjoyment, an all-inclusive passport offers value, but note that some attractions like professional racing carts carry separate fees and height restrictions—confirm at the venue. On race days, admission rates and crowds change significantly, so checking the event calendar beforehand is essential. Carts prohibit sandals; wear sneakers.

Best time to visit

Allow about 3 hours. Spend the afternoon through evening, and finish with a ride on the observation wheel at dusk.
