Play freely on the long slide and other large playground equipment and at the small animal zoo
About this spot
A large-scale comprehensive park utilizing the natural topography of the hilly terrain, the largest of its kind in Yokkaichi. Divided into a northern and southern zone, the spacious grounds feature large playground equipment including a long slide that descends the slope in one thrilling rush, making it a paradise for children wanting to burn energy. At the small animal zoo, children can interact closely with animals such as sheep and guinea pigs, providing a soothing moment during play. The grounds are rich with seasonal colors, including grassy lawns and plum groves, with families frequently spreading out picnics in a peaceful atmosphere. Both admission and parking are free, making it a perfect spot to spend an afternoon letting children run and play to their heart's content.
Tips
About 15 minutes by car from the city center, with free parking at both the north and south zones. Parking on the north zone side is convenient if planning to visit the animal zoo. The grounds have varied elevation, so for young children, a baby carrier may be more practical than a stroller. On days using the slide, dress in pants, and don't forget drinks and a change of clothes.
Best time to visit
About 1 hour 20 minutes. During hot seasons, the afternoon when sunlight softens is more comfortable.
