Stroll along the waterfront with views of the Bay Bridge in the sea breeze
About this spot
This waterfront park, developed along Aomori Port, features a spacious lawn and walking path on the seaward side of ASPAM. Before you lies the calm waters of Mutsu Bay, while behind you stands the triangular ASPAM, and to the west stretches the white tower of the Aomori Bay Bridge—a perfect concentration of scenery symbolic of Aomori Bay. Walking along the wooden deck pathway while feeling the sea breeze offers just the right amount of movement after lunch. Scattered along the shore are photogenic spots like the "AOMORI" monument, making it perfect for group photos with friends. Located along the walking route connecting Wa Rasse, Hakkodate Maru, and ASPAM, it naturally fits as a rest point during your bay area stroll.
Tips
Just a short walk from the seaward side of ASPAM, about a 10-minute walk from Aomori Station. Shade is limited, so bring a hat and water for summer visits. The waterfront can be windy on some days, so bringing a light jacket is a good precaution. Benches are scattered throughout, making it perfect for rest breaks with takeout coffee.
Best time to visit
About 45 minutes required. Afternoon sunlight makes the sea shimmer beautifully, creating pleasant conditions ideal for strolling.
