The main attraction is the approximately 8.5m-tall three-dimensional work 'Aomori Dog' by Yoshitomo Nara, a native of Aomori City. Standing quietly within a soil-walled atrium, this sculpture has become an iconic symbol of Aomori. The Aleko Hall showcases monumental stage backdrop paintings by Chagall for the ballet 'Aleko,' each measuring roughly 10m in both height and width—truly awe-inspiring. The collection also features works by artists connected to Aomori, such as Munakata Shiko and Narita Tei, allowing you to trace the creative lineage from Jomon heritage to contemporary art.

Directly adjacent to Sannai-Maruyama, easily reached on foot—both sites share convenient visitor routes. Collection exhibition admission is ¥510 for general visitors; special exhibitions carry separate fees. Access to the Aomori Dog is via indoor or outdoor passages depending on the season—confirm details at the reception.
