A hilltop park on the western edge of Ichinoseki city, known as the site of Ichinoseki Castle (Tsuriyama) where the Edo-period castle and administrative center of Ichinoseki Domain once stood. Climbing the walking path to the mountaintop plaza opens a panoramic view of the Ichinoseki townscape, the Iabii River (磐井川), and distant mountains, and as evening approaches, the rooftops are bathed in a warm glow—a serene panorama unfolds. Throughout the grounds, traces of castle earthworks and stone monuments remain, and in spring it becomes a beloved cherry blossom viewing spot for locals. Rather than a tourist facility, it is a quiet park woven into local life—the perfect place to sit on a bench at journey's end and reflect on the boatman's song and the cool air of the stalactite cave. Conveniently close to Seiki-no-Ichi Sake Brewery (世嬉の一酒造), it's easy to work into your concluding walk without any strain.
Tips
About 5 minutes by car from Seiki-no-Ichi Sake Brewery (世嬉の一酒造); also within walking distance of Ichinoseki Station. Free parking is available in the park. The path to the summit plaza has gradual inclines and stairs, so wear comfortable walking shoes. Few streetlights along some sections, so if staying past sunset, watch your footing and descend early.

Approximately 1 hour. Early evening when the townscape is bathed in sunset is the best time to visit.
