A park facility developed in the rural farmland of eastern Sendai with the theme of "Agriculture" and "Food," offering free admission. The park features seasonal flower beds and a rose garden with many varieties, offering colorful floral displays from spring through autumn. The wide grass lawns, greenhouses, and a direct-sales corner allow you to take home locally grown vegetables and flower seedlings. There's also a children's play area and seasonal events such as harvest experiences and gardening classes. It has a relaxed atmosphere perfect for families with children to enjoy at their own pace. After a full day of playing, closing your day with a leisurely evening stroll through the flowers in the soft, gentle light will leave both children and adults with a pleasant sense of fatigue.
Tips
About 15 minutes by car from the Sendai Port area. Free admission and parking. Closed on Mondays (if Monday is a holiday, closed the following weekday), so note the day of the week. The direct-sales corner has a more abundant selection earlier in the day rather than late afternoon. The park is spacious, so wear comfortable walking shoes.
Best time to visit
Plan for approximately 1 hour. The soft evening light beautifully illuminates the flower beds. Spring and autumn are especially recommended for viewing the rose garden.
