About this spot

A glass-roofed tower standing about 143 meters tall that symbolizes Akita Harbor. Elevators whisk you to the observation deck at 100 meters, and the observation itself is free—incredibly generous! The 360-degree grand panorama spreading below shows Akita Harbor and the Sea of Japan; on clear days, the Oga Peninsula and even Mt. Chokai come into view. Children and adults alike are sure to exclaim with delight. Watching ships pass and harbor cranes work from above captivates vehicle-loving children. The first floor features a direct-sales facility "Cerion Garden" with Akita seafood and specialty goods shops, plus dining options, making it convenient for souvenir shopping and snack breaks all in one place. Also renowned as a sunset spot over the Sea of Japan in the evening—a definite Tosakinminato area landmark.

The observation deck is free with an elevator ride of about 40 seconds. Clear days offer excellent views toward the Oga Peninsula—aiming for fine weather increases satisfaction. The first-floor shops have abundant Akita souvenirs.
