Tips

About 15 minutes by car from Memories of Katamata Branch School, located along National Route 341 heading toward Kakunodate and Morioka from the lake—easy to incorporate on your return. Free parking provided. Tasting is abundant, so compare flavors before purchasing. Honey jars are heavy, making this perfectly suited for a car-based drive trip.

Best time to visit

Approximately 1 hour. Around 3 PM, just before heading home, is ideal timing and fits smoothly into your route.
