About this spot

A foot bath plaza named after the legendary crane from the legend of Iwaki Yumoto Hot Spring's origins—a crane said to have healed its wounded feet in the hot water. Located along the main street of the hot spring town, this roofed foot bath is free for anyone to use, making it perfect for a rest during your stroll. Remove your shoes and sit side by side with your child, and warmth will gradually spread through your feet, easing the fatigue from walking around all day. Feeling the warmth of the hot spring source with your own skin is a uniquely hot spring town experience. The evening hot spring town viewed through the rising mist is also delightfully atmospheric. Sharing laughter with your child, saying "isn't it warm," creates a simple yet memorable moment.

Tips

Located in the hot spring district right next to Yumoto Station, with free access. Note that towels are not provided, so bring your own. The water can be quite hot, so gradually acclimate children's feet.

Best time to visit

Allow approximately 30 minutes. Perfect as a break in the late afternoon when walking fatigue sets in.
