Savor Freshly Picked Seasonal Fruit at a Fruit Orchard Along the Fruit Line

About this spot

A tourist fruit orchard along Prefectural Road 5, nicknamed the "Fruit Line," lined with fruit orchards. Starting with early summer cherries and continuing through peaches, pears, grapes, and apples, you can enjoy seasonal fruit picking year-round—a wonderful way to experience the full capability of Fukushima, the kingdom of fruit. The trees are spaced widely with easy-to-walk ground, allowing everyone from small children to grandparents to enjoy the picking experience together. The taste of freshly picked fruit harvested by your own hands is incomparable. The adjoining café "Mori no Garden" is a popular spot famous for its seasonal parfaits topped lavishly with ripe fruit, and many visitors enjoy it alongside fruit picking. The farm shop sells packaged fruit and processed products for souvenirs, providing a perfectly sweet way to wrap up your day.

Tips

About 20 minutes by car from Fukushima city center, with signs along the Fruit Line. Fruit varieties and prices change by season, so call ahead or check the website for confirmation and reservations. Bring wet wipes as hands will get sticky from the juice. The café can have lines, so allow extra time.

Best time to visit

Approximately 1 hour total. Late afternoon when the daytime heat subsides is most comfortable for picking.
