Select Local Specialties and Souvenirs to Conclude Your Journey
About this spot
A roadside station located at the base of Gassantoda Castle Ruins, perfectly positioned for rest and shopping after exploring the castle. The shop features confectionery from Yasuki, souvenirs related to loach, locally grown vegetables, and specialty items. It's an ideal spot to enjoy selecting souvenirs at the end of your trip. An adjacent Yasuki City History Museum allows you to reflect on the history of Gassantoda Castle and Hirose's castle town. You can take a break for light refreshments or tea while viewing Mount Gassantoda through the windows, creating a moment to share memories of the day. With the castle ruins, museum, and shopping all in one location, it's a fitting final destination.
Tips
Uses the same parking as the castle ruins, so no additional travel is needed. The shop is open until evening, so do your shopping early. The Japan 100 Famous Castles stamp is located near the adjacent history museum, so don't forget to collect it.
Best time to visit
Plan for approximately 50 minutes. Late afternoon before heading home is ideal. Complete souvenir shopping before the shop closes.
