About this spot

This roadside station is located along National Route 30, at the entrance to the vast Miyama Park (みやま公園). The shop is lined with fresh vegetables and fruit from Tamano and Okayama, processed seafood products, sweets, and more, making it perfect for hunting souvenirs to close out your trip. The park has a large pond, a lawn plaza, playground equipment, and promenades, so taking a walk through the greenery before or after shopping is also a pleasant way to spend time. The park also features a full-scale English garden, the Miyama English Garden (深山イギリス庭園), where you can enjoy a stroll admiring seasonal flowers. Talk over the memories of your day together as a family while choosing souvenirs.

Tips

Parking is free and spacious. Local vegetables and fruit at the shop can sell out by evening, so check early if there is something you have your eye on. The Miyama English Garden (深山イギリス庭園) requires a separate admission fee.

Best time to visit

About 1 hour 30 minutes. In the evening, the pondside is gently tinted by the setting sun, making it perfect for closing out the day.
