A Spectacular Flower Carpet Covering the Hills: Flowers as Far as the Eye Can See

About this spot

One of Western Japan's premier flower viewing farms, spreading across expansive rolling hills where hundreds of thousands of flowers bloom seasonally—tulips in spring, sunflowers in summer, dahlias and garden mums in autumn. The flower carpet blanketing the gentle hillsides takes your breath away, and from the observation platform you can take in both the flower fields and the rural countryside of Sera Highland all at once. Wander slowly along the flower paths, enjoy flower picking and seasonal activities—there's something for everyone from children to adults. The gift shop sells flower seedlings and local specialties, making it great for souvenir shopping too.

Tips

There's little shade in the park, so don't forget a hat and water. While you can get around with a stroller, the hillside slopes require some effort. Weekend visits during peak bloom are less crowded in the morning and better for photography. Check the official website in advance for bloom conditions.

Best time to visit

Plan for about 2 hours. Morning light is soft and perfect for photographing the flower-covered hills in natural lighting.
