This renowned sunset viewing spot features terraced rice paddies stretching toward the Japan Sea, selected among "Japan's Top 100 Rice Terraces." Tips

Parking spaces available at the observation plaza. Surrounding farm roads are narrow, so drive carefully. The terraces are active farmland, so avoid walking on embankments and respect agricultural work. Bring an extra jacket as it gets cool in the evening.

Best time to visit

About 1 hour 30 minutes required. Late afternoon when the sun is low offers the best views with terraces and sea bathed in golden light.
