A waterfront park overlooking the Shunan Petrochemical Complex (周南コンビナート) across the bay, known as a factory night light viewing spot. Strolling leisurely along the waterside promenade, you'll enjoy the calm Seto Inland Sea and passing ships in daylight, while after sunset, countless plant lights create a magical, shimmering reflection on the water's surface. Shunan is known as a factory night light city, and this is one of its signature viewpoints. Sitting on a bench, recalling your day's journey through town while watching the changing sky is truly special. The transition from dusk to illumination is especially recommended.

Tips

Free parking available. Bring a light jacket on windy days. If your focus is the night lights, arrive before sunset to enjoy the gradual color changes in the sky. Once dark, footing becomes difficult to see, so watch small children carefully.

Best time to visit

Approximately 1 hour needed. The magic hour around sunset, when the crimson sky mingles with factory lights, is most beautiful.
