A seaside broad-based park spanning Tokushima City and Komatsushima City, where you can enjoy the greenery of Mount Himine, the pine grove of Okami Beach, and calm seas all at once. Popular with families is the Children's Playground, which features large combination play equipment and slides. It offers outdoor play where children can use their whole bodies, quite different from an amusement park. Once tired from playing, pass through the pine grove to the beach. Search for shells at the water's edge, walk across the sand leaving footprints, and spend time on the seaside in the gentle light of early evening—perfect for cooling down before the day's finale.
Tips
The parking lot near the Children's Playground is convenient. Bring a change of clothes and towel for children, as they'll work up a sweat on the equipment. The beach is not suitable for swimming, so water play should be limited to wetting your feet.
Best time to visit
Approximately 50 minutes required. Early evening is ideal for outdoor play as the sunlight becomes gentler.
