A rest stop located right next to Kotohiki Park, famous for its sand coin art, and a convenient stop for lunch and shopping during your sightseeing. The facility houses the "World Coins Museum" with a collection of currency from around the globe, as well as local history exhibits, allowing you to leisurely view displays unique to Kanonji, the "Town of the Coin." The product corner is lined with Sanuki souvenirs such as iriko (dried anchovies) from Ibuki Island, Sanuki udon, and sweets made with citrus fruits. It's a fun place to select gifts to commemorate your trip or to bring back to neighbors. Many visitors use it as a base for exploring Kotohiki Park, and by combining a visit here with the sand art observation deck, you can avoid unnecessary travel.
Tips
Parking is free, and it's efficient to use it in combination with a stroll through Kotohiki Park. If you avoid the lunch rush hour, you can shop and eat at a more relaxed pace. After purchasing souvenirs, load them into the car before heading to the next spot.
