Southern Lunch in a Greenhouse Where Fruit Ripens Year-Round
About this spot
An agricultural tourist facility in Nankoku City where fruits are grown year-round in vast greenhouses. The specialty is a tunnel-shaped pathway with watermelons and melons ripening abundantly overhead. Simply walking beneath this green curtain offers a tropical experience. The in-house café offers parfaits made with fully ripened melons, fruit-filled sweets, and light meals, perfect for lunch. Seasonal taste experiences such as strawberry picking are also offered, and the direct sales corner lets you purchase fresh fruit and flowers as souvenirs. As the facility centers on roofed greenhouses, it's a reliable lunch spot on rainy days.
Tips
Admission is free; you only pay for food and purchases. Popular melon sweets sometimes sell out, so ordering early after being seated is recommended. It's warm inside the greenhouse, so adjust your clothing accordingly. Free parking available.
Best time to visit
Approximately 1 hour 15 minutes required. Early afternoon, slightly outside the noon rush, makes it easier to find café seating.
