About this spot

A theme park entirely devoted to pineapples, set on a hillside in Nago City in northern Okinawa's main island. At the entrance, board the self-driving cart known as the Pineapple Wagon (パイナップル号) and take a leisurely loop, listening to an audio guide as you pass fields heavy with ripening pineapples, avenues of palm trees, and paths lined with subtropical flowers. After disembarking, wander through the pineapple greenhouse and gardens on your way to the shop, where plenty of pineapple sweets and juices are on offer for tasting — souvenir hunting is part of the fun. This park instantly sets a tropical mood, making it the perfect way to kick off your seaside drive.

Tips

The park has plenty of slopes and outdoor paths, so wear comfortable walking shoes. With so many tastings on offer, it's a good idea to keep breakfast light. During busy hours there can be a line for the Pineapple Wagon, so arriving right at opening time makes for a smoother visit.

Best time to visit

About 1 hour 30 minutes. Arriving right at opening lets you board the Pineapple Wagon without waiting and enjoy the park at a relaxed pace.
