Next stop: 30 Minutes of Sea and Underwater Fireworks Illuminating the Night BeachAbout this spot
Just a short walk from Keikyu Miura Kaigan Station, this is a bathing beach with the longest sandy shore on the Miura Peninsula. In summer, beach houses line the shore, and in the evening the sea breeze makes it a prime spot for enjoying the cool of the evening. Tonight's fireworks will launch from the sea directly in front, making the entire beach an observation area. Secure your spot in the evening and fill your belly with food from the beach houses or light snacks you've brought, while leisurely gazing at the darkening sea.
Tips
About 5 minutes on foot from Miura Kaigan Station to the beach. On fireworks day, crowds increase from evening, so it's safe to secure your spot by 5 PM. Confirming the location of beach house toilets and showers while it's still light makes the evening more comfortable.
Best time to visit
Takes about 3 hours. Enjoy the beach from sunset through to the fireworks
