The spacious riverbed where the Sagami River, Nakatsugawa, and Koami rivers converge is the main venue for the Ayu Festival. In the evening, food stalls line the embankment, and as the aroma of okonomiyaki and candied apples fills the air, the festive spirit builds. Once you secure a spot with a leisure sheet, enjoy the sunset sinking over the mountains and food stall delicacies while waiting for the opening. First, savor the wide sky that will welcome approximately 10,000 fireworks in the colors of dusk.

Tips

Traffic restrictions are in place around the venue on the day. The free viewing areas begin to fill from the evening, so securing a spot by around 5 p.m. is the target. Temporary restrooms will have long queues, so go early.
