A large municipal park spread across the northwest of Itabashi Ward, this is a lush area that retains the natural landscape of the Musashino Plateau in abundance. Well-maintained walking paths wind through the mixed forest, and once you step into the shade, you can enjoy comfort even under the strong summer sun. The large grassy plaza is an open space where children can run freely, making it popular with families with small children. The park is divided into several areas and offers a perfect size for a warm-up walk before the fireworks festival. It also connects on foot to the adjacent Akatsuka Tameike Park, allowing you to start your afternoon by taking a leisurely stroll through the greenery.

いたばし花火大会は、板橋区の荒川河川敷・戸田橋付近を会場に毎年夏に開催される、地域を代表する花火大会です。広大な荒川の河川敷から遮るものなく見上げる空に、次々と大輪の花火が開く迫力は格別で、川面に映る光の揺らぎも見事です。河川敷の芝生にシートを敷いてのんびり観覧できるスタイルは、小さな子どもを連れたファミリーにもやさしい環境です。対岸の埼玉県戸田市側でも花火大会が同時開催されることが多く、両岸から花火が上がるスケール感も楽しみのひとつ。夏の夜空を彩る光と音のフィナーレを、家族でそろって楽しみましょう。

Tips

荒天時の開催可否は板橋区の公式発表を事前・当日ともに確認してください。終了後は最寄り駅やバス停が大変混雑します。終了後すぐに移動せず、河川敷で少し余韻を楽しんでから時間差で帰宅すると比較的スムーズです。帰り道は足元が暗い箇所もあるため、スマートフォンのライトを活用しましょう。

Tips

It's convenient to walk about 15–20 minutes from Nishi-Takashimadaira Station or Takashimadaira Station on the Toei Mita Line, or use bus service. Admission is free. Walking the shaded mixed forest course allows for relatively comfortable exploration even during hot seasons. Make sure to bring water in advance.
