About 4,000 fireworks launched from the riverbank of the Nabari River (名張川) dynamically color Nabari's summer night sky. The open space along the river offers wide, unobstructed views, letting you look straight up at the giant blooms of fireworks. The way the fireworks' light shimmers as it's reflected on the water's surface is also a beautiful sight unique to the riverside. Located in a mountain basin, Nabari lets the sound of the fireworks echo through the surroundings and resonate through your body, making the experience feel even more powerful. Enjoy a summer night worthy of capping off the day on the lively riverbank together with the local community.

Tips

Be sure to check the start time from information announced on the day (the time has not yet been finalized). Check official information from Nabari City or the festival organizer regarding whether the event will proceed in case of bad weather. After the event, the road toward Kintetsu Nabari Station (近鉄名張駅) gets very crowded, so we recommend enjoying the afterglow on the riverbank for a while after the finale before heading out with a time lag. Some areas along the way home are dark underfoot, so make use of your smartphone's flashlight function.

Best time to visit

Arrive at your viewing spot 20-30 minutes before the start time. A spot where you can see the water's surface lets you also enjoy the fireworks' reflection
