On the day of the Minazuki Matsuri fireworks festival, food stalls and vendors line the Yura River riverbed around the venue, with the festive atmosphere reaching its peak from early evening onward. Enjoy classic carnival fare like yakisoba (grilled noodles), fried chicken, and shaved ice while taking dinner on your leisure sheet spread out at your viewing spot. The early evening stretch along the riverside before the fireworks begin is a special time to soak in the festival atmosphere. Tips

Most stall food vendors accept cash only, so bring plenty of small change. Given the crowds, it's best to secure your food at least an hour before the fireworks start. Bring or purchase extra drinks. Be sure to manage your own trash and prepare to take it with you.
