Maizuru City Gojo Coastline

Flow of the course

About this spot

The eastern district coastline, which will host tonight's fireworks festival, is a seaside area facing the calm waters of Maizuru Bay. Arriving here in the early evening after descending from Goro-ga-take allows you to secure viewing space while it's still relatively uncrowded. Spread out a leisure sheet, settle in, and enjoy some light refreshment from nearby food stalls or food you've brought as you wait for the show to begin. Unlike the open ocean, Maizuru Bay has gentle waves, and the sight of the sea surface turning orange as the sun sets is exceptionally beautiful. As you gaze at the scent of the sea and the silhouettes of distant mountains, savor the time before the fireworks in a leisurely manner.

Tips

About 15 minutes by car from Goro-ga-take Park. On the fireworks festival day, surrounding parking lots fill up early, so it's recommended to move directly here after visiting Goro-ga-take Park. Identify restroom locations while it's still light. Food stall items can develop long lines if you don't order early.

Best time to visit

Approximately 1 hour 50 minutes required. The bay's evening landscape around sunset is the most beautiful time of the day.
