JR Tosu Station (JR鳥栖駅) is a key transportation hub where the Kagoshima Main Line and Nagasaki Main Line cross, and restaurants, supermarkets, and convenience stores cluster around the station front. On the evening of the fireworks festival, stalls and shops around the venue get crowded, so it's wise to pick up food around the station before heading to the riverbank. Buy up rice balls, boxed meals, and drinks together here, and get set to spread them out at leisure on the riverbank. Foot traffic for fireworks viewing starts increasing around the station from this time as well, so it's a good idea to head to the riverbank soon after buying your food.

Tips

Supermarkets and convenience stores in front of the station can sell out on the evening of the fireworks festival, so it's ideal to buy your food sometime in the 4 PM hour. Prepare extra drinks. Since your load will grow before reaching the riverbank, carrying things in a backpack that leaves your hands free makes things easier.

About 1 hour 15 minutes. Shops and the station front start getting crowded after 5 PM, so acting early in the 4 PM hour is recommended
