JR Tosu Station is a transportation hub where the Kagoshima and Nagasaki lines intersect, and restaurants, supermarkets, and convenience stores gather around the station. On the evening of the fireworks festival, vendors and food stalls near the venue get crowded, so it's wise to gather meals around the station before heading to the riverbank. Purchase onigiri, bento boxes, and drinks in bulk here, then arrange to spread them out leisurely at the riverbank. From this time onward, foot traffic around Tosu Station increases as people arrive to watch the fireworks, so move to the riverbank promptly after purchasing.

筑後川花火大会は久留米・山鹿・鳥栖の3会場合同で開催される九州有数の花火大会で、鳥栖会場だけで約12,000発が打ち上がります。川の水面が近い河川敷からの観覧は、花火の光と音が正面から迫る迫力があり、川面にゆらめく光の反射が花火の美しさをさらに引き立てます。大輪の尺玉から色鮮やかなスターマインまで、1時間にわたって次々と夜空を彩るプログラムは見応え十分。フィナーレの連発が夜空と川面を同時に照らす瞬間は、この1日の最高の締めくくりになります。
Tips
荒天時の開催可否は大会公式の情報を当日確認してください。終演後は鳥栖駅周辺が大変混み合うため、すぐに移動せず河川敷で少し余韻を楽しんでから動くと混雑を避けやすくなります。帰りは足元が暗い場所もあるため、スマホのライトや小型ライトがあると安全です。翌日が平日のため、子ども連れは帰りの時間の見通しを立てて行動しましょう。
Tips
Supermarkets and convenience stores around the station may sell out on the evening of the fireworks festival, so ideally purchase by the 4 p.m. hour. Prepare plenty of drinks. Since your luggage will increase on the way to the riverbank, carrying items in a backpack or similar allows your hands to remain free.
Best time to visit
Allow approximately 1 hour and 15 minutes. After 5 p.m., shops and the station area get crowded, so acting by the 4 p.m. hour is recommended.
