Takeo Onsen (武雄温泉), with over 1,300 years of history, is symbolized by this gate tower designed by Tatsuno Kingo, which is designated as a National Important Cultural Property. Motoyu (元湯) is beloved by local residents as a traditional public bathhouse and is popular with families as an easily accessible outdoor bath. The weakly alkaline hot spring water containing sodium is gentle on the skin and offers a refreshing bathing experience, perfect even in summer. The sight of the vermillion gate tower reflecting against the summer blue sky is one of Saga's representative photo spots. Before the night of fireworks, relax and rejuvenate both body and spirit in this leisurely hot spring.

「ふるさと大町納涼まつり花火大会」は、佐賀県杵島郡大町町の夏を締めくくる納涼まつりの花火です。2026年8月13日(木)18:00〜21:00、大町町民グラウンド（ボタ山わんぱく公園）から約1,100発が打ち上げられます。炭鉱の歴史を伝えるボタ山を背景に夜空へ咲く花火は、この町ならではの風景で、地元の人々に長年親しまれてきた夏の風物詩です。盆の時期に重なるお盆の夜の花火は、帰省した家族が揃って眺める特別な時間でもあります。フィナーレの連発が夜空を染め上げる瞬間は、1日の締めくくりにふさわしいクライマックスです。

Tips

荒天時は中止または順延の場合があるため、当日の開催可否は大町町の公式発表を確認してください。終了後は会場周辺の道路が混雑するため、急がずに出店エリアでしばらく過ごしてから移動すると安心です。JR大町駅を利用する場合は帰りの列車時刻を事前に確認しておきましょう。足元が暗いエリアがあるため小さなライトがあると便利です。

About 7 minutes walk from JR Takeo Onsen Station (JR武雄温泉駅). Admission for adults is approximately 500 yen (fees may change, so please confirm locally). Store valuables in lockers. Bring your own towel or purchase one locally. During busy times, the changing area becomes cramped, so packing children's belongings compactly helps.
